It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

This meme is now hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books.

Books completed last week:
Why I Hate Canadians by Will Ferguson
The Checklist Manifesto: How to Get Things Right by Atul Gawande
Sarah, Plain and Tall by Sarah MacLachlan

Books I Gave Up On: none

Books I am currently reading/listening to:
The Secret Life of Words: How English Became English by Henry Hitchings
Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

Up next (more MacMillan):
The Writing Class by Jincy Willet
Snobs by Julian Fellowes
Dreaming Water by Gail Tsukiyama
and (not a MacMillan) Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (I have a long flight this week and I promised a friend I would finally get around to this, which she has been pressing on me for many years.)

Outlander is good, but very long. You are going to need a very very long flight.

cross country with a layover, and then back the next day, so I should have more than enough time! Provided that I can avoid doing work on the plane.

I've had several Outlander recs, but the length has always deterred me. And it's a ginormous series, right? I'll be interested to see how you progress with this one. :)

I have Dreaming Water on my shelf. So far, I've only really liked Street of a Thousand Blossoms by Tsukiyama. Her other stuff I've read wasn't nearly as good. I'm interested to see what you think of Dreaming Water.
