Read-A-Thon Update III

The movie was fun. We had bacon flavored popcorn which actually tasted pretty good, and I am happy but ever so slightly queasy thanks to my dinner of candy. Friends have left and I am back to reading. I was planning to update after I finish my book but I am getting tired and think I will head upstairs and get ready for bed, but I am determined to finish it. So the last book of the day is The Thin Man by Dashiell Hammett. Just as funny as I was hoping (and as I was expecting based on the movie). A perfect book for late-night reading, particularly after a couple of gins. I am past the half-way mark so I am confident in my finishing. My total should be 4.5 books. I will do a summary with page counts tomorrow. The page counts won't be impressive as these have all been short books but I have enjoyed this Read-A-Thon thoroughly! Thanks to the cheerleaders too! I particularly like that the cheers actually sound like cheers with rhymes and all! Good night all!
