I don't read much non-fiction, but I make exceptions for memoirs. This one sounds...wow.
I love memoirs and this one sounds worth it!
I'm glad you guys think it sounds good too because I think this is a poor description. She's a journalist and was interviewing Iraq-war vets when she suddenly realized she herself had PTSD. I just couldn't find a better description! Presumably the flap copy will be available soon and that should give more details.
As someone who suffers from PTSD I am very interested to read this book. Thanks for the info.
What an interesting premise! The fact that she figured out she was suffering from the same disorder as her patients is intriguing, and it sounds like it will be an emotional read. Great pick!
Quite an interesting summary for a memoir, might make an exception and read this one.
for a memoir, that looks really interesting. I really like the style of the cover (or maybe i'm just a crime show fanatic? haha) nice pick. Also, I've got an award for you on my blog :)
