Book Beginnings on Friday

Book Beginnings on Friday is a meme hosted by Becky at Page Turners. Anyone can participate; just share the opening sentence of your current read, making sure that you include the title and author so others know what you're reading.

Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart

"From the top deck of the bus, Marty and I were mesmerized by Fifth Avenue as we watched glamorous stores spring up like pages out of Mademoiselle."

Ah, to be so young and so willing to take such risks as moving to NYC without a job! Perhaps being a naive co-ed from Iowa actually helped as Marjorie didn't know what she was getting herself into!

I have this one on my to-read shelf -- I love reading about life in the 40s and 50s; sometimes I think I was born in the wrong decade.

My book beginning is here:http://bibliosue.blogspot.com/2010/09/book-beginnings-on-friday.html
