Teaser Tuesdays: Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by Should Be Reading.

Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris p. 30

"Every so often, she'd go into the water to cool off, but she didn't know how to swim and didn't trust us not to drag her under. So she'd sit waist-deep in the kiddie pool, dropping her cigarette ash onto the wet pavement and dissolving it with her finger."

Ah, the 70s! What do I love most about this image? That her children would try to drown her? That she, an adult, was entitled to the kiddie pool? That smoking in the kiddie pool is okay?

Any book that makes you laugh out loud and read passages to friends must be good!
