Book Beginnings: Byrd

Book Beginnings on Friday is a meme hosted by Gilion at Rose City Reader. Anyone can participate; just share the opening sentence of your current read, making sure that you include the title and author so others know what you're reading.

Byrd by Kim Church

"Dear Byrd, This is how I told your father."

Throughout this book, Addie writes letters to Byrd, the name she has given the son she gave up for adoption.

I wonder if she ever mets Byrd. I think it might be a little bit of a sad story.

What an interesting premise for a story! This sounds like a really good book.

This sounds very poignant. The concept is very unique. Don't think I've come across a book like this before.

A book of letters is always interesting.

It sounds sad, though. Giving up a child for adoption has to be a very difficult thing.

THANKS for sharing.

Happy Weekend.
