Teaser Tuesdays: Life After Life

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by Should Be Reading.

Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Life After Life by Kate Atkinson p. 83

"Ursula's breathing was harsh and raspy, her breath thickening in her chest. The world boomed and receded like the sea in a giant shell."

Ursula has the flu, and it's 1918 which doesn't bode well.

Great description of the way the flu is affecting her. I think I'd enjoy this story.

I've had this one on my to-read list for a while now... I need to get to it sometime soon!

I've seen this around and that's such a great descriptive teaser. Somehow being sick just seems to magnify everything, doesn't it?

I really enjoyed this book. It took a few pages to get in to but once I understood the writing style and the way in which the story is told, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope you do too. Here's my TT.

I might give this a go. It was recently recommended to me and it's been a while since I read any historical fiction.
