Truth and Beauty
by Ann Patchett

"The thing you can count on in life is that Tennessee will always be scorching hot in August."
I can attest this is completely true. And it's also humid.

Beautiful cover. With a bug and the TN heat/humidity in the quote I wonder if this is a steamy summer setting.
It's humid here in Florida too, and I don't like it!
Love the cover!
I like to know a book's setting right up front, which this author does. I've never been to Tennessee in August, but I can attest to the fact that it's plenty hot and humid in Texas in summer!
My Friday post features Widow’s Tears.
This book is on my wish list! I love the beginning, and can relate having spent several summers in Memphis. Something about TN and the reader can imagine the setting right away.
