The Honest Scrap Award

Colleen from Books in the City gave me the Honest Scrap Award. Thanks! For this award I have to tell you ten honest things about myself and then pass the award on to 10 bloggers:

1. I am about to walk in my 3rd half marathon in 1½ years. Yes, I said walk, not run.
2. I do not swim in natural bodies of water.
3. I occasionally eat ice cream or cookies for breakfast.
4. Caffeine doesn’t affect me.
5. I have held a koala bear.
6. I used to think when I grew up my life would resemble the Mary Tyler Moore Show, but now that I’m here it’s more like Rhoda.
7. I once got a job thanks to the Jane Austen Society.
8. I have been skydiving.
9. When I was 18 months old I loved to carry books around. Mine and my parents’. I particularly liked to carry around a primer on Freud.
10. “Book” was my 7th word.

Here are the 10 blogs I'm passing this along to:
1. Just Books
2. The Introverted Reader
3. Constance Reader’s Guide to Throwing Books With Great Force
4. Rundpinne
5. Reading Extensively
6. Booking Mama
7. She Reads and Reads
8. Jen Robinson’s Book Page
9. Rantings of a Bookworm Couch Potato
10. Metroreader

Congratulations on winning this award and thank you for passing it on to me! Your honest things are all interesting. I once had icecream for breakfast on a waffle back when I was in high school. I've always wanted to hold a koala. My aunt got to when she was in Australia. They are just the cutest animals.

Hey Christina, it's a bummer for everyone who isn't your aunt or me, but they don't allow koala holding anymore. Luckily, I went to Oz in the '80s, but they've cracked down. They smell like cinnamon and it's like a life-sized teddy bear that actually hugs you back!

Sorry it's taken me nearly a week to thank you for this award! I'm working on my list. I'm impressed that you've been skydiving and have held a koala! I've never had ice cream for breakfast but I have had cake!
