Read-A-Thon is here!

I was supposed to start the Read-A-Thon at 8:00 but I am not a morning person, so it was closer to 9:00. I stayed in bed, and I read My Darling, My Hamburger by Paul Zindel. Then I got dressed and ate breakfast while reading The Headmaster by John McPhee. When I am done with this post, I am going to head out walking, and I'll be listening to Mennonite in a Little Black Dress. I won't have as much time for reading this evening as I had originally planned as a friend's boyfriend broke up with her yesterday so I'm going to be commiserating tonight over drinks and a movie. But I have hopes that I might get a lot of Mennonite listened to (I can keep listening while cleaning for my guests) and as my friend isn't a late-night person, I might be able to get another short book in. Now I'm going to go checkout other people's posts! Having fun! Never thought I'd have 2 books already read and done by noon! This is a very good week for this to be going on as all week I've otherwise been reading a very long biography. I probably would have finished nothing without this event to get me to put the biography down and slot in some other reading.

Two book...very cool:) The hamburger title sounds intriguing, I will have to look it up. I will be interested to read your thoughts on Mennonite. It was a fit for me but I like to see what others thought of it. Continued happy reading to you!
