Teaser Tuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by Should Be Reading

Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Pretty in Plaid: A Life, a Witch, and a Wardrobe, or, the Wonder Years Before the Condescending, Egomanical, Self-Centered Smart-Ass Phase by Jen Lancaster p. 84

"You're automatically hot when you wear size five; it's, like, written in the Constitution or Vogue magazine or something. Plus, the jeans themselves are extra rad - they're really dark blue and the denim is superthick and they've got a big panting horse embroidered all swirly on the back white pocket in white thread."

That's right. For those of you fashion-challenged or not with-it in the '80s (or, you know, not born yet), she's talking about Jordache jeans, THE jeans of the decade. Personally, I never was so lucky, although my pale blue skinny jeans with the white polka dots and zippers on the ankles were pretty tubular.

I wore "Hash" jeans. It was a school-wide joke. Don't ask.

My teaser is here.
