Book Purchases/Confessions: May

Alas, May's theme with book purchases was: Backtrack.

So, I went to a Border's GOOB sale. It's a store that was at 40-50% off, but still had good selection (rumor was they'd gotten shipments from other stores who had closed their doors for good.) I was pretty selective, most of the books I purchased were on my TBR list, and I maximized my discount by making my purchase with my BF (If you bought 8 or more, you got an extra 25% off.) But, I was bad and did buy books in May:

Half a Life by Darin Strauss
Making Toast: A Family Story by Roger Rosenblatt
Everything I Needed to Know about Being a Girl I Learned from Judy Blume by Jennifer O'Connell (Editor)
Bloody Crimes: The Chase for Jefferson Davis and the Death Pageant for Lincoln's Corpse by James L. Swanson
Let's Take the Long Way Home: A Memoir of Friendship by Gail Caldwell

This one I found as a bargain book at B&N and got it as a gift for my BF: Beautiful Boy: A Father's Journey Through His Son's Addiction by David Sheff

This book I special-ordered from my local indie, as I am starting freelance editing, and at leats Ill be able to deduct this one from my taxes: Home-Based Business For Dummies by Paul Edwards, Sarah Edwards, and Peter Economy

Finally, The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman, I picked up at B&N - it's my book club book for June. Would have gone to the indie for it, but my BF likes to shop at REI which bores me to tears. However it is next door to a B&N.

Hopefully June will be more like April! Wish me luck.
