"WGBH, the Boston affiliate of what was now PBS, was ready to step up--to try harder, as Avis used to say, because Boston, that center of culture and higher education, had originally been passed over when the Ford Foundation set up three production centers: New York, L.A., and Washington got the nod. It was a savvy executive in New York who had taken the flier on The Forsyte Saga."

I don't read much nonfiction but this one does sound fascinating. My teasers this week are from Notorious by Allison Brennan and Plus One by Elizabeth Fama. Happy reading!
I remember watching Masterpiece Theatre with my mom long ago.
Masterpiece Theatre is such a treasure. Even though I don't often read nonfiction, I'd enjoy reading this book about how it came to be.
My Teaser is from WITHOUT A TRACE.
