The Good House by Ann Leary
"I can walk through a house once and know more about its occupants than a psychiatrist could after a year of sessions."
This is probably true of any professional realtor. I know I feel my house is a reflection of me.

I love this beginning. I'd definitely read more to find out what a house reveals to the character and how that figures in the book's plot.
Here's the link to my Friday post: WHAT MATTERS MOST.
A bittersweet beginning for me. Bitter, because I cannot wait to be the owner of a place I can call my own. Sweet, because the author could not have worded any better. I too can walk into a home and discover many characteristics about its owner. Thanks for sharing!

That's a great snippet, definitely invites one to pick the book up.
My BB & 56
An interesting beginning. I would LOVE to see what a realtor says about my crazy neat house. :)
Will probably tell me to "lighten up." :)
Thanks for sharing a great beginning that made me think. :)

My Book Beginnings
Hmm. I bet a realtor can tell alot about the people that live within the house.
I am dying to read this one! I'm on the waiting list at the library but they have it in audio version so I'm tempted to just get that. It has such a great beginning!
